Hurst shifter

Ok i was tryin out my new V-Matic 2 shifter today cause i finally hooked up the wiring. Theres a U type piece of metal on the light assembly for the shift indicator. the shifter cable is suppose to go inside this and the U type piece of metal slides with the cable to move the light. However.....this shift cable just slides right out of this U piece of metal so the light doesnt move. Anyone have any ideas?

should have got a b&m megashifter.... lol j.k.... sounds like theres some kind of clip missing or something

nah i figured it out...a metal pice was bent so i just bent it back.....the megashifter and the v-matic are practically the same thing. the hurst looks better in my car thats why i got it.
