those look fucking sweet, but i don't think they will ever do it. the last gm news letter i read said they were deffinately not doing a retro look due to the massive decline in sales of retro styled cars... (prowler, t-bird, pt cruiser, ect...) Plus chevy is putting those new front ends on everything.

yeah i remember the same thing they said to me in an email, but who knows maybe they saying that to trick everyone and actually do it in the last second?

Meh I dont really care if they bring it back but that car doesnt look right. There was a kid from cali who drew up a concept for the 5th gen and it looked amazing.

I dont know why they wouldnt go retro with that car though. Have you seen the newest mustang??? That thing is wicked looking I love the old fastbacks.

Ive never really liked any of the retro cars theyve tried yet, especially the tbird i think its ugly as hell.

word from michigan is that the maro will be back on a new chassis in 2006 as an 07 model. if these were the real concepts then it stands to reason that they would have been unvailed at the detroit auto show by now. since this hasnt happened we can assume one of two things: these arent the real concepts and the true ones will come out next year or late this year, or they dont expect a camaro return in the near future...

Ok, ive talked to the man at the dealership i work at, the camaro IS coming back hes got plans to order them already, the thing is, chevy is completely redoing the lineup of cars right now, there are something like 10-12 new models being released, and there is a whole lot of focus on the new vette (which by the way, we got one at work and its fucking sweet, just bad ass and gorgeous and amazing, if its any indication, the next camaro is gonna be fucking off the hook) so they didnt want to release the new camaro, as it would do two things, take attention away from the new products, and the vette, and it would not get its due attention as the other models would also be in the spotlight. its all marketing. so the camaro will probly be debuted in the next year or two.

They both look great. I like the look of the Z28 better. I hope they have some balls under the hood, if that's what they are going to look like. I like the retro look. I even like the look of the new Mustang. Some of the retro cars are a big mistake IMO, Prowler, PT Cruiser, Thunderbird(lol.) I can't wait to see what Ford/ or Chevy comes out with next.

I want a retro look vette with big stingray fenders, and what did they used to have a 427? it would have to be FI and 6 speed though

well swim tx, i have good news for ya, the corvette guy i talked to at the dealership...... the one who brought all the vettes for the convention, the C5-R, 2005 vette, Whiteshark, pace car, all those, said that the next Z06 will have a V8.. in excess of 6.0L, seeing as the base vette is a 6.0, he just kinda looked over his shoulder at the 7.0L (aka 427cid) and smiled. and of course they have six speeds. and the new vettes, do kinda have stingray fenders. just not quite as wild as the old ones.

I really hope they come out like that. Those are too cool to mess up. Those things would sell like sex at a boys home.
