tailight corrosion

My brake light is out, and when i took out the taillamp and the socket to change it, i found out that it's sealed in by rust. What's the best way to get it out (short of breaking the bulb (I have no sledgehammer :P) and using a vise grip or such to beast out the threads) /clean the terminal?

ahh you b*tch... lol.... spray penatrating oil in there.. then get some needle nose plyers and brake the bulb with your head then twist the sucker out there

yea turns otu my da tried to fix the prob and put the wrong bulb in. Went to my mechanic and we got the bulb out and had to order a new socket cuz it was screwy. Prob fixed now tho.
