Well I had court today for one set of tickets. The most the prosecutor plea bargained was to throw out the failure to signal lane change (which we were gonna fight anyway, there was a TSB and a wiring problem (i was in my dad's car)) which he said would have been 3 points, in return i pled guilty to the unsafe lane change, $105 plus $30 court cost... and 2 points. Apparently with provisional license in NJ you're supposed to lose your license on ANY points, well i still have mine. I'm just hoping that i dont get a little letter from the DMV. Well anyway im hoping my new lawyer for the other, larger court date is a good one/knows the right people... cuz there I'm fighting 88 in a 50, careless driving (different from reckless, not as serious), and failure to keep right on a highway. So i've been mentally preparing myself for license loss/suspension then, that is on the 23rd I believe.

it isnt that bad you still got your liscense! is your insurance on your parents name or on yours, because it should be on your parents name cause its gonna be way too expensive!

losing your license sucks. Mine got suspended but no one told me until I went to rent a car and they told me it was suspended. I almost had a heart attack!

Enjoy being insured with your parents while you still can. Ive been paying out the ass ever since I bought my first car. Im not sure if insurance prices have exploded in the US like they have up here but if you get a few tickets you sometimes need to go to a special insurance company that will only deal with high risk drivers.

yeah, i hate the fact that the dmv will suspend your license and not tell you. seems pretty shady to me...

I have heard of drunk drivers driving on the opposite side of the freeway before. I instantly thought of that when you said 'the wrong side of the freeway.'

ahha no... retarted law and secondary offense.
I hate how the legal system has on a large part been compromised for revenue.

jus so you know, here in the craaaaap state of NJ, we have 4 points on our provisional licenses. Enough for you to speed once w/o losing it.

And you don't lose them til you get the full license. jesus....that on top of we get our license latest in the country, AND highest insurance in the country. shafttttt
