I have to replace my fuel pump in my 95 GTS. Does anyone have any recommendations on high flo pumps? Or should I go with factory? I know there are quite a few aftermarket high flo pump but know nothing about any of them. I have heard BBK is good but not much else on others. Appreciate any feedback..

Walbro make good pumps for a good price. Otherwise aeromotive are nice, but more expensive.

Holley, BBK, FRPP, all made by Walbro, so take your pick. 190 LPH if N/A, 255 otherwise.

Like I've posted before so many times, theres really no such thing as too big of a fuel pump w/ a return style system. So if you have a lot of future plans, just get a big one now. I got a 255 when I needed one, and I didnt even need that much fuel, it worked just fine. I think with Walbros the price difference is like $10 or $20 between 190's and 255's. It's up to you though.

I know BBK and FMS pumps are Walbro, but Holley, really?

Yep, mine's a holley 190, has a Walbro logo and part # stamped in it. I have a BBK 155 laying here, with a Walbro logo and PN, and guess what the factory 110 that came out of the car had on it....

I ordered the Holley 190 from Summit. Should be in this week. ANy tips or tricks I need to be aware of ? Is there anything else I should need before dropping the tank?

Also , is there any special fuel filter I should go back with or just the factory type?

Thanks

Wix filter. Comes with the two clips you have to break.

Get a set of the Ford A/C and Fuel line tools, it will be needed when dropping the tank. It looks like a rack of split plastic circles. Should only be like 8 bucks at Autozone or O'reilly's. Other than that it is a very straightforward job. A buddy is very helpful to have with you...

IMHO I wouldn't run aeromotive pumps on the street, unless you have a weldon dial-a-flow to pull back the voltage to save the pump. Fried a couple of A1000's on my Dad's car because everyone said they were fine for the street, but in stop/go traffic it would heat up big time and they just burnt up.
