[COLOR=darkgreen]HI i started having a problem of crank and no start pin pointed to heat from my headers causing starter to draw installed a starter heat shield and found starter sticking in crank position replaced several more starters and solonoids now have a grinding at times but now most of the time i now have no power to anything replace igniton switch still nothing please help if you can i have a 67 chevy c10 with a 350 and a 350 lock up trans> what else can cause a starter to stick in the cranks position only when intalled on vehicle and not when bench tested

If its the same as the 350's of the last decade, I'd say you needed some shims put in between the starter and the engine

found the problem aperantly when I removed the started it but strain on the wiring harness causing the already loose pins in harness to not make proper connection. cleaned and repaired pins as best posible. now can I pur dielectric grease there. does the dielectric grease conduct electricity or insulate?
