What would it take to make the move?

What do you all think it woul take to make the move out of the US. Either to move to Germany, England, Japan, or Australia? I know first off, it would help to have a contact there, to help you out. But how much money do you think you would need to have saved, what kinds of paperwork, or whatnot would need to be done. Does anyone know, or have a idea?

When we moved from the UK to Australia, we had to go through the Department of Immigration and put ourselves on their waiting list. They told us that we would have to wait 6 months to get an interview, but it only ended up taking 6 weeks!!! Needless to say, the interview went well and we moved within 3 months. I have no idea how much money you would need or anything like that, but it might be worth talking to the relevant embassy to find out. Generally speaking I think you need enough money to be able to live for a few months as you probably wouldn’t be eligible to put yourself on unemployment benefit straight away.

Hope this helps you some.
