erratic RPM's

what would cause it?? my tach is never right - it will sit there and spaz out when i rev.....

Oooo... That doesn't sound too good. It only happens when you rev? What about Idle?

idles fine!.... i think my wiring may be fudged - i pulled my engine harness out and im rewiring and retaping....

The distributor, i had the same problem.

are you for sure about this? i just got this damn distributor off of ebay... its internally coiled.
