Just checking to see how posting pics works ... I can't seem to get pics to show up when I try to attach them. I guess the images were too big?

Attachments have a maximum limit of 640x480 or 1meg.
I see the one above. Was there another?
BTW the color and sharpness on that photo is much better than the one I saw on ITW. Is it digial or scanned? Maybe the darker blue surrounding the photo is keeping better contrast.
Oh, and I just noticed you have the tire carrier on. How did it line up?

Yeah, I knew that attachments have a limit, I thought I was under that limit, but maybe not. :bonghitte
Nope, just that one but I was trying to simply attach it instead of linking to it via "[img]".
It's a digital shot and the regular size is HUGE - takes up an entire 21" monitor. I haven't Photoshop'd it at all.
Tire carrier - the carrier itself, no problem. The bumper was not cool - had do redrill all the holes and decide whether to cut some of the welds or shave a bit off my frame rails because it won't go in as far as it should (it's pretty much equal to the side pieces, whereas it should fit in closer to the rear hatch a bit). Decided against all that. Overall, the bumper is NOT going to move in the frame rails at all, but I'm not so sure about actually using the hitch to tow my camper because of the SHITTY KMA WELDING JOB ...

I ground off a tiny bit of the corner of my frame and then put some paint on it so my bumper would go in all the way. On mine, the only part that hit was the top corner and I only had to renmove maybe 1/4" diagonally.
I'm shocked to see that big tire on there! They made my support arm too short and I couldn't even get the longtrail on there without deflating it to about 20 lbs. Plus, they got the bolts too close together, so I had to force it on over them too.
Does your bumper sit lower on the left than on the right? Schlud and I both had inserts that were not straight, causing a lower left side. As it turns out, my receiver was also crooked the other direction and counteracts the effect. Like you, I'm afraid to actually tow anything with it though! Most I would ever put on there probably is a tent trailer, but it looks flaky. I'll probably have that redone at a towing place.
As much as I hate KMA, I do think that's the best place for the tire and I'm glad I had it at Moab. Now if I can just get it all fixed up!

Nope, it sits level ... I'm not sure if it came that way or if Eric and I made it that way. :)
My only complaint with the tire being back there is the obvious - that I can't see shit out of the back window anymore.

Okay, I towed my 2K lb. camper up to ECXC so the welds are good enough for that - but I still want to re-weld and gusset the receiver at some point to give me peace of mind ...

I haven't seen the bumper in person, but it certainly looks strong enough in the pictures to pull a trailer. A weld doesn't have to be pretty to hold. Trust me, I have done some shitty welding on my Jeep (bumpers, leaf spring mounts, axle perches). My welds look like crap, but they hold. I better knock on wood now :)

I have some really bad welds on my bumper as compared to the other KMA's out there ...
