I want to replace the factory bulbs in my driving lights but I dont want to do any rewiring I was going to replace them with an 880 xenon bulb when I found the 893 which is 38w I know that the wiring harness cant handle the 55w bulbs but does anyone think that it can handle the extra 11? and I found another bulb the 884 that is the same wattage as the 880 but the end of the bulb is not frosted would that be a better choice? check here to see http://www.theinstallationshop.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=377
what should I go with?

yeah but have you driven any extended amount of time at night with them on? a lot of guys have had problems with them melting the lens or melting the harness.

Sure happened to me. I ordered some crappy Japanese bulbs off ebay in attempt to match my HID headlights. About a month after install, I noticed the lenses were warped. Then, when I tried to remove the SOBs, I found the bulbs had melted right into the housing. Had to buy two new units.

I now run Silverstar bulbs - not quite the color match but at least they are safe for my wiring.

Well the foglights are aftermarket and they came
with their own lens so does that make a diff?
