intercooler off supera???

Sup guys, I just thought i should ask you guys first before buying it. Or if i even should. Well I'm really cheap so i dont wont to spend that much money on a intercooler + i dont have that much money. So i found this Supera intercooler on a auction. It looks ugly but, i was wondering if it would work on my 97 GS-T? I wont to front mount it. So my other question is is it too small, i dont know the actual size but it came off a twin turbo supera so... Well can i have your guys suggestion.

Is that...you WANT to front mount it...or you WON'T front mount it?!

Stock Supra intercoolers were sidemounts, and from what I've heard a lot of custom fab work is required to even mount it on the side. I would personally never put that on the front of my car. I think it would look hideous, and people would ask why you have a SMIC on the front of your car!

Save the money and buy a core on ebay at some point, do custom piping, and you're set with a sharp lookin FMIC! :2cents:

i want to front mount it, but now that i think about it i shouldnt. Like you said it looks hideous.

If you want a bigger intercooler but don't want to spend the money on a big front mount, I'd go with the Dejon Tool BIG sidemount. I've heard some good things about it.

That is not a IC from a twin turbo Supra. IT must be from the older supras. I have done the MKIV intercooler swap, its not a bad deal if you get a good price on it. There are some vfaqs on how to mount it and such, but I did it my own way. Made a nice improvement on pump gas, but I didnt pick up much on race gas, probably due to other limitations in my setup at the time. And after all its still in the sidemount location.

Do a search for the info Gus Mahone put out on the older supra and some other ICs. You should be able to find a link off the www.dodgegarage.com website I would think. Not sure if he had good or bad things to say about the single turbo supra ICs, if thats even one... ;)

no its not bux's its YEN. So 100yen is about a dollar or so. Depending on the exchange rate.

Yea i was thinking about that. But i have no money to buy that much. But its kind of hard to find parts for eclipse's since there really rare here. So i have to buy evo parts for my car. Such as a bov that im bidding on. Its good that i live in Japan and America i get the both of two worlds.

Oh yea, they also have hella cheap GT-R FMIC's but i think there too big. I dont wont to chop too much of my front end up.

Ill be coming back around the end of Aug. so if there are any good deals ill buy them and bring them back to American to sell here.

There are actually Eclipses in Japan? I bet that was expensive for them to get. Those dudes with the Eclipses are punking out all the Civics.
