300zx twin low rpm misfire

have 91 twin turbo replaced t- belt , intake gaskets , plugs . car has irregular misfire at idle , gets worse when rev'd then smooths out . have sprayed motor with water no vac. leaks detected, coil resistance at 2.9 to 3.5 seems high ? thru all coils. all injector plugs have been replaced. have replaced knock sensor with 1 meg resistor code 13 gone still have miss wiggle plug on power transistor idle changes but mis still there . checked vac hoses on egr had egr to direct vacum changed hoses but still have miss. checked power transistorper nissan manuel g thru abcdef 3 terminals have continuity is this enough to cause low rpm misfire ? dont seem to get full boost under floored accelleration misfire goes away after 2500 rpm but seems sluggish have checked rechecked and tripple checked timing belt marks are good could this all be caused by power transister ? please any help???

I've been told by a good auto electrician and a good friend of mine that having a coil or two with a different resistance to the rest puts a strain on the power transistor which generally results in a bill for a new transistor and a few new coils. Im not too sure of exactly what happens, but he says that he has to fix this problem all the time.

Before you go to buy a new power transformer and coils though, have you checked the ecu's warning codes? Also, take the car up to a half decent auto-electrician and ask him to check the transistor. Shouldn't cost you too much in labour if you go in with a specific job for them to do.
