fuel systems

well i've been informed that there is no resistor on 01+, just the 97-00. so anybody know what replaced it or why the wire jump still works to get the car started and running? also anybody with 97-00 that have taken a look at their fuel pumps see two wire harnesses and the evap lines on top of the pump. one harness is the ftp sensor and was curious as of what the other was, it runs off to the passenger side of the car but i don't see it running down the tank, perhaps that runs to the other floor panel in the trunk about a foot se of the pump access panel. shrugs, if it can't be figure it out then i'll haul it down to a dealer and dump it off there, should really let them keep it, just another insurance payment anyways.
