A few days ago I picked up the new revell Escalade at my LHS after sitting there trying to think of something to do I decided to load it up with plenty of I.C.E. or In Car Electronics.I sm also going to make the head lights/tail lights function and make functional LED mirrors + other stuff. I'm still kind of lost on wether to lift or lower the car which I would like your opinion on as well as everything else. The tail light and head light in the pics are actually brighter but its hard to tell because of the camera. What do you think?

Working Air suspension on 26s should do the trick, in candy blue.

I see a lifted one every day wen im on school and it looks pretty stupid so i would say lowered but try one of these technics so that you can lift and lower the car.

i would lower it also, i think they look nice like that. who cares if they are all dropped, build it the way you like to see it. im interested in that ICE system as im planning one for mine too, using some custom stuff.

I like your idea of lifting it even though I am more partial to slamming this baby, but go for the insane lift and paint it bright lime green.

Thanks everyone, I'm still torn between lifting and lowering, I do like dutchboy 618's idea but it might be hard to reain detail and I would want to lift it to be different hmmmmmm..... Anyway while I'm still undecided on it I will still continue with the project.

What's the largest scale bling bling wheel you can put under the wells?
Does the kit come with large disc brakes that don't look dainty under wheels?
Anyone seen the 26" wheels in real life yet?

I cannot imagine how one can pull that thing out of a driveway without damaging the front bumper!

It could be done with air bags right?

Skateforfood
07-09-2004, 12:14 AM
It hast to, I think. One thing I notice is the hood opened a bit because of the wheel hitting it.So it must have airbags.

SchuberT
07-09-2004, 12:21 AM
you sure that's the reason? that's at a car show, so i'm sure they're displaying the engine

Skateforfood
07-09-2004, 02:02 AM
Im not that certain but how could big huge 26s plus tires not hit the hood?

SchuberT
07-09-2004, 02:21 AM
i dunno, but just imagine from the bottom of the tire to the middle of the wheel, and then imagine that same distance from the middle of the wheel to the top. a photoshop:
http://nwwo.com/chop/meh123.gif
besides, it'd be kinda dangerous to have your tires hit your hood when the airbags are down, and you'd have to pop the hood when you want to park it?

anyway sorry for the thread hijack, just a friendly discussion on fitting 26's under an escalade

youngdrifter_x
07-09-2004, 02:41 AM
I would also lower it.

The monitors "Beds" are looking pretty cool. Are you going to make little monitor tv or just put in a piece of styrene and paint it? Wouldnt it be cool if you made the little tvs and could be moved. like different angles and stuff. That would be awesome!
Overall it looks good man. keep it up

Jurva

LIFT with ice and chrome bumpers.

Macdaddy4738
07-09-2004, 07:05 AM
those tires wont hit the hood..theres no way. Im sure its on airbags...i mean how would you even get over a speed bump...much less a rock or pebble in the road.

JTRACING
07-09-2004, 07:13 AM
they slam the cars down when there parked, just for show,
i've seen trucks and cars so low they sit on the frame, and the wheels come up off the ground

Great looking model so far !! i would raise it up on some huge mudd tires! you dont see that everyday on a caddy

white97ex
07-09-2004, 10:17 AM
if you look at that picture. more than half of the wheel is showing in the wheel arch. just by eyeballing the photo. there is plenty of room in the fender to fit the remaining part of the wheel and tire without it hitting the hood.

SupaMan89T
07-09-2004, 11:13 AM

sorry but thats not a photo shop that is tuckin 24's on airbags $54,000 worth of truck and money put into it :iceslolan and they dont hit the hood it clears it by like an inch :iceslolan

dutchboy 618
07-09-2004, 11:37 AM
If your gonna lift it, wat rims/ tires are you using??

Off road tires and rims don't look good but 24" and 26" would look sweet so either lower or lift it but use bling bling rims

bill_kustomz
07-09-2004, 02:00 PM

wheres the engine looks like its got a 6 banger in there. BTW those are 26 believe me that truck rides like total crap even on bags. 26 inch wheels offer the shitiest of all rides, 20s offer the best

CamaroSSBoy346
07-09-2004, 05:13 PM
were still debating on weather or not to lift it or lower it? I say lift it. (BTW is this the kind where the chassis and supension is all molded as one piece? If its all molded sepeartly, you can use my "Silverado Lift" technique.

speedstur

Yup its molded sepratley and if I lift it I'm definatley going to follow your totorial.

i mustve been understood, i mean the escalade was a photoshop, i meant that i made a photoshop to show about where the top of the tire was
