Just WONDERING!!!!

Can you take out that heat shield that is under the hood. You know that silver thing. I am scared if i take it off it will mess the paint up.
I want to take it off because it will get a lot off heat out of there.

yea u can take it out i hade mine out for a year it doesn't do anything

course it does. That heat shield is what protects the bottome of the hood from the heat. If u havent noticed we have a turbocharge car it runs double the heat a regular car runs. That's what it's thier for but thats jsut me so take it out if u want but if u wanna be safe and have ur paint last longer dont take it off

It depends man, yes it is there for a reason. No, it will not damage the paint as long as you are running it stock. if you upgrade and produce more heat you start to enter the danger zone. In a city as hot as mine its actually better to remove it cause it dessipates heat alot better. Carbon Fiber hoods dont bring that stuff but then again CF dessipates heat faster!
