what do u guys think about speed density motors and its tuning and bolt on capabilities? do all sd engines seem to run rough? and is it just worth getting the mass air conversion kit from fms for 550$?
thanks for the info.

They dont run rough as long as they are stock or nearly stock.
Because of the way speed density "meters" the air entering the engine you can't add items like cams and power adders because the speed density cannot compensate for these changes. You are probably best off buying a Pro-M mass air meter and get the harness from somebody who is parting out a mass air car.
Basically if you are going to leave the car stock then leave the speed density alone. If you are planning to add any big mods to the motor (not just bolt ons) then swap it over to mass air.

What kind of mods do plan on doing to it?

in short, speed density = stock, mass air = modded.
i know a guy who's running mass air and speed density on an LTI Camaro that has all sorts of stuff done to it. i wonder how he pulls that off...

for now full exhaust, better fuel pump, new 19# injectors, and maybe adj. fuel press reg, k&n filter, 12* timing, new intake manifold, 65 mm throtle and egr spacer. will this all work with a sd setup?

I don't think you'll have problems with those mods but then again with speed density you never know...LOL
