is there a 6-speed tranny i could put into my prelude w/ JDM H22. If i really wanted a 6-speed would it be worth a K20 swap. Could you even do a K20 swap into a 4th gen? Is it really worth it to have a 6-speed tranny to pay the cash for a K20 swap. So many questions, so little time.

The k20 alone lacks the torque to move your 2900lb car as much as an h22 would. If anything out of the k-series you'd be better off with the k24.

But even then...bad idea.

is there anything besides an H series motor worth swapping?

O.K. the 4th Gen weight's 2,800 not 2,900 buddie and the RSX weight's 2,700 so there pretty much the same...also account that the RSX has a 2.0 Liter which i'm sure weight's a lot less (newer and probally has things that weight less) then the Prelude's older 2.2 Liter engine in account I knew the stupid RSX body wise weight's more then a Prelude I just knew it :) (don't mind me I'm just being stupid)point is...if you got the money y not swap a k20??? tho If i'm U and I want REAL POWER and money isn't a ISSUE then y not SWAP a JDM h22 TYPE S?? 220 HP for sure and i belive but could be wrong 165 Torque...

Si=2866
VTEC=2932

Both round off to 2900lbs. Unless you happen to have a prelude S, which is about 2809lbs.

well a 5th Gen Prelude weights 2,954 and the 4th Gen weights 145 pounds lighter....which brings the total down to 2,809 but u might be right depending on the Model

I dont know what kind of scale Honda used, but I had my Prelude weighed with me and half a tank of gas at 2728lbs.

The h22a is a kickass motor, and while it may not have the kind of aftermarket support the K series has; it's definitely got potential. There's a reason why Accords and Civics want our engine in their car...

yup...i agree :-D
and i've seen a bone stock h22 run 14s in an old ass 4-door accord

What more could you possibly want? A motor with just as much horsepower as my clips (when it runs right) in a lude? I think its a beautiful thing.
