Hey guys, for all you that answered my last post, especially rice rocketeer, just wanted to say thanks again for all the great info. From that thread, which was to decide whether or not to do an ls/vtec swap. What i decided to do, due to money restraints, is take this b18b from a 92 teg, stock 140hp, and completely rebuilt it. I want to build it from the block to the head, new rods, pistons, cams, valves, valve springs, valve guides, whole nine yards. I looked at the inline four website and found a lot of the things i need. What i want to know is what parts should i replace? How should i build this up. I think i'm going ot get crower cams, because i can get them for $700 canadian, but aside from that any input is great. I plan on keeping this engine N/A, and would like to build it to around 180-200hp, whatever ispossible. Now the main thing is that i want this to be a reliable engine. It's my everyday driver. So thatnks a lot guys, and look forward to your responses.
cheers

The swap should work fine. LS/VTEC in there will give it more power too. You wont lose a/c or p/s by doing this either unless the motor never came with it, which the LS did.;)

ok, i actually just got off the phone with my mechanic, so i found out that i won't lose p/s or a/c. Now, can anyone tell me which parts are worth changing. I was looking at valves, valve guides, cams, valve springs, retainers, maybe rods, pistons, i don't know what's worth it. whta kind of power should i expect from doing this? is this oging to be hard to do, i'm doing it all myself, with the aid of my hayne's manual.
