OK. You've probably seen ilov2xlr8's amazing drawing of this car:

The 5th one accross.

This is the one I want you to draw. There will be THREE tiers:

1. Amature
2. Pro
3. Expert (i.e around alex's standard)

You will have till October 1st to do it (subject to change). Any questions PM me. I will probably do a poll at the end of it to decide the winner.

EDIT: No computer editing (except for resizing). No custom kits. Any drawing media is allowed, plus you can use any tools (except lightbox, tracing). Also, you can add your own background.

EDIT: Go to post #24 to see pics on this thread. (466kb each instead of 5.5mb each).

EDIT: PM me the drawings when you have finished. NO public posting before the polls.

Kustm: I was thinking of everyone doing the 5th one, with the front-on view with all the trees. Its just that that way everyone will have a fair chance, and when it comes to voting, there won't be too many different types of drawings.

GAMsALeh: PM the drawings to me so its a big supprise for the voting at the end.

For the amature drawers: If you feel the drawing I want you to do is too hard, you can try the 10th one instead. Use the link above, and its the one below the one I initially chose, with the two dishes.

ALSO: You can do the B/G on the pic if you want, but the voting will be based on the quality of the car.

Alex: I chose a different pic for amature if they found the other one too hard. For the other two catagorys, the supplied one should provide a fun challenge. (see post #9 for details).

OK, I've desided to put the two pictures here to save confusion. I've made them from 5.5mb to 466kb each without resizing them or losing quality.

ehum, I don't think he did. Anywho no big deal. Yeah mate draw the top one if your entering for the expert and pro catogory or draw any one of the two if your entering the amatures catogory. Yes it is, so you have to draw all the reflections. It might be aluminium, or whatever its called in the US. Are you going to do it Bonz? You'll have to do the top one.

Yep...You could do half then mirror it, because to enter, you have to have all the car drawn. I'd like to see you in though.

I just entered the competition. I hope it's not too late, but i just found these sites some days ago!
Btw, the Chrome Mercedes was made with a kind of foil which is also used for e.g. police cars. They finished 12 cars for shooting pictures of a calendar.

How about lets iron out a deadline so this thing can either get up and rolling, get done, or sink to its death, because it has been up here for an awful long time.

i'd like to see some others cars, I did mine and submitted it in less than 2 days. No chrome effect though. If there are enough entries, I'd say put up the poll. As I heard from a model contest Judge, "You snooze you lose kid, try again next year."

Ross, if you haven't done this already, you might want to "unite" the pro and amateur level entries if there is a lack of them.
