daytime lights

anyone ever tried to remove daytime running lights off their alero. I have an 03 alero. Thanks

I don't think it's as simple as pulling a fuse out. There used to be a kit that someone made to override them but I think legal issues came up with the kits. I believe that daytime running lights are considered safety equipment and by removing them or selling something to remove them is violation of something and he was told to quit making them.
The way GM runs there fuses I would think that your headlights are probably on the same fuse. If it was me I wouldn't just start pulling fuses out because you may not realize it but that fuse could operate more than 1 thing.

I agree with jamcllw. By pulling a DRL fuse, it will most likely mess with the automatic headlights and stuff. Do you have a manual? If you do, check out what it says about the fuses. Honestly, if it's something you really want to do, just experiment and see what happens. If you pull a fuse and it causes more than the DRL's to stop working, you can just plug that fuse back in.

One quick solution if you don't want your daytime lights on is to take out the bulbs. By doing this, you know that you won't damage any of the electrical components of the vehicle.

yea, but if you take out the bulbs, there goes your high-beams!
