I drive the 4dr primera p10 of '96 and I can have 4"*6" in the frontdoors and 6.5" in the back.

A question to all infinty drivers (with the older g20): how large speakers can you put in your doors? Is it the same size or can you use larger speakers?

Also, how large are they in the back?

Why I'm asking? I want to know if and how you altered your doors/backseat shelf to fit your larger speakers...

peace..

I put 5.25 in my girlfriends Infiniti front doors. I had to drill some extr holes and use baffles but it fits and sounds good ... She has the Kappa's up front.

ok.

lots of labor??

my 4*6" sounds crap-ass, getting really tired of them...

the dude in my local audioshop told me to make baffels for 4"s, then they most definetly would fit with the original doortrim. I want the car to look original inside, so no 6.5"s for me... altough I could change my mind...

I have 5.25" in the front. All I did was make a special plate to go over the original plate area. You can fit 6.5" speaker in front, but it takes alot of work and you have to make sure the speaker is not to deep. I have 6.5" speakers in the rear and they fit in easly, only pain was geting the top top shelf off to get to them. No altercations to the door panals or rear deck.

mattg20> top shelf at the rear: yepp, I've been there myself and it wasn't pretty... I had really big problems with the cushion in the backseat, I even bought a DIY book from Hanes, but it didn't tell how to remove the cushion. but now I know what to do(after fiddling around with a friends Micra/March).

the backs are 6 3/4 speaker holes. u gotta drill other holes if u want 6.5s. im sure u could fit 6x9s back there. the grills are lage enough and ud only have to drill a few more holes on the sides.

for anybody that wants to know....in order to put 6X9's in your P10, you have to cut bigger holes(or enlarge the stock holes) in the rear deck...not just drill new holes..
I put in a pair of Alpine SPR-692B 6x9's a little while ago....it wasn't much fun.

I used polk 4X6's in the front and Polk 6 3/4 in the back, and they sound real nice. I thought about goin to 5 1/4's in the front, but I liked the fact that the 4/6's could just drop in. that's also why I got 6 3/4 instead of 6 1/2 in the back.

i have Coustic 4x6's in the front and they sound really decent, but if i had to do it all over again i'd get some sony xplod's. they sound good and they aren't all that expensive. i think wal-mart sells them (xplod's) for around $70. i got some pioneer 6.5's in the back that i got for $20 (on sale, usually $30) and they sound really clear. but i'm seriously thinkin about some xplods for $70 in the back.
speaker choices are more of a sound (and wallet) preference. the more u got, the more u spend. anyhow, good luck w/ whatever u choose.

I did the same as above with 5.25" Jbl's in the front and the stock Clarions in the rear and some fosgates 3/4" tweeters in the door!

Are they connected to the stock stereo? What other changes did you have to make?
