last night i found out to my disgust some low life had smashed my drivers side window and stole a few small expencive and personal items of mine while i was out with friends in Mt Eliza, Victoria, Australia. (if anyone knows the sod that did this). so i was wondering if it is possible to buy/make a second glove box sort of affair under one of the seats to hide my belongings when im out? i hate taking all of my cd's and other stuff and locking it in the boot (hatch) everytime i leave my car. thanks in advance.

well there is next to no room under the seat mate, if you have the higher range civic then you will have pockets on the bakc of your seat , if not then just keep putting it in you boot:(

Here's an idea...
I just thought of it...and now I wanna do it.
Get a glove box from another vehicle and swap it out with yours, catch is you have to either make a lock, or find one with a lock on it.
I'm not sure what other cars would have gloveboxes that would fit, or even any that could be modded. But I'm sure with some research and time you could find one. Just mah :2cents:. Good Luck!

The 1990-91 CRX Si comes with a lockbox where backseats would go. Perhaps, you could find one in a junkyard, replace the lock on it and put it in the location of the footwells of the backseat area of your civic (with some modifications of course). I keep some maps and stuff in there but if I lived in a crappy area I'd lock other stuff in it. Just a thought.

damn right we do! lol and proud of it, but i have to say...its kinda catchy. "eh open your boot." its crazy, but canadians are crazier, and thats why i love em! lol

I have an easy solution for having to put the cd's away. Keep only copies in your car, keep the originals in your house. Plus it protects the originals from the possible effects of the extreme heat, like bubbling.

maybe you could come up with some sort of "drawer" under the seat, just something that slides out.....just a box would work
