Is this worth it?

I have a friend who is offering 25 bucks for a 250W MTX amp. He took it off his car when he got a better system about a month ago. Its in excellent condition. I am hoping to buy two Rockford 10 HE's in a box, and hoping that the amp will push it good. If not then I might add another cheap MTX to the 250WMTX, just to get more power. 25 bucks is pretty good for that amp right?

definitely $25 for a 250 mtx is good, especially if its in excellent condition. id say go for it and buy another one later on to power the other sub. :D i dont know the specs on the subs but you will be running about 62.5 watts RMS, if you use that amp to power both subs. it will bump but not that loud if its in the trunk. id go with another amp and power the other sub. :D

Yeah $25 ain't bad for a stolen amp!:D You can always get a larger amp L8R and use the MTX for your door and/or deck speakers (if you upgrade them too.)

HEY HOW DID YOU KNOW?!!!!! Actually it was stollen I think. BUT anyway. I am thinking of using this to power 2 Rockford 10's. Think it should be aiight. Im going to use the switch, so it will only run the subs, not any speakers.

Thats not a bad amp, more suitable for running coaxial or small component system rather than subs.

So do you think I shouldnt even bother paying 20 bucks for it to power two 10's? Two 10's is what I want, so Im just wondering if I should just wait longer and get a bigger amp

do you know what model amp it is??? cause my amp is supposed to be a 250 watt amp. (its a 500D)

If think it was something like 2 x 55w, or 200w bridged. Im not really positive because I cant find a good website that has all that info

About 95% of stereo equiptment sold from friend to friend is "stolen goods". Watch out who you buy it from (friends of friends) some people just steal it back (I know people like that).

That and the fact it is $20:silly2: is how I know. Anyways---It's twenty bucks stop thinkin' and go buy it, if you don't like someone will buy it for $20 ( or more) off you!
