Ok....Last monday, after having a rough day, i went onto a back road where no one ever drives and I flew down it...kinda helps me relax ya know? well anyways, there was a cop there and he pulled out behind me and blah blah blah gave me a speeding ticket. He tried to tell me that it was a 25 mph zone there for i was more than tripling the limit (he says he clocked me at 76) I contested saying that I could nto have been going more than 60 but no worries, i have to go to court anyways. The fine that this carries is a little over $850 for the speeding and then I have to pay court costs and i lose my license for 90 days from the court date and that'll cost prolly over $1000.....I was just kinda wondering what the fines/penalities would be in other places?

You mean we aren't supposed to drive 75 mph in a 25 zone??? Why did nobody tell the people over here that?

Ooh boo fucking hoo. You were speeding. You got caught. Stop whining and blaming the cops for doing their jobs. It's your own fault, take responsibility for your actions.

damn, u got it easy!!! Here in Arkansas, 20 over is a felony, you get arrested, and your car impounded. California, I believe, is 30 over and its a felony. But DAMN! 50 over?!

dude, chill out, she just asked what the penalities would be in other places. she admits she was speeding she just doesn't agree with the Number. she didn't say one slanderous or defamatory thing about cops. what, is there a cop in your family or something?

Hahaha
Yeah, but it does suck to get pulled over though.
When I was 19. I got pulled over going 130mph in a 60mph zone (on the freeway) in my Z car. I guess the cop was in a good mood, 'cause he didn't even give me a ticket!! He should have taken me to jail for going 70 over. My lucky day I guess. Never done it again though!!! I can't get that lucky twice

Yeah the thread title is off compared to the content. I didn't see any whining about getting caught in the thread, so I'm not sure why people are telling her to stop whining. :dunno:

I'm sorry it seems like i'm whining...Agreed that the title is a off a bit but i was just curious what the penalities were. I know he was doing his job and I understand that, no problem there. I deserve the ticket but I just dont agree with the number he says. So I mean, yeah i'm gonna pay it no biggie I just was wondering what penalities were in other places b/c I just wanted to know if i was gettin off easy or rough...Sorry if it seems like I'm complaining about cops. I'm really not. He was doin his job, I should have been pulled over and that's that.

I have one...thats the sad thing. It wasn't on b/c there are never cops on that particular road b/c its right on the edge of jurisdiction and its basically a back country road so I turned it off b/c i didn't need it. It was weird bc he wasn't sitting on the road, he was kinda off the road perpendicular to it, like he was waiting or hiding for/from something. I dunno but whatever. Court's at the end of the month so we will see what happens.

so typical of the cops, never f*ckin there when you need them. Always out on the roads giving people bullsh*t laws for speeding instead of chasing criminals and stopping murders...

Here in mn they might take your car, depending on the cop. A friend of mine got pulled over once doing 128mph in a 30, I was with him. Because I was he just got a wreckless driving ticket and that was it. Lucky for him I knew the office very well. It only cost him about $200.

Because cops are expected to be psycic and be able to predict a murder, aren't they?

Speeding is a crime. I've never seen cops "giving people laws" for it though, usually tickets. Chasing speeders = chasing criminals. Your post is therefore contradictory.
