I was over at my girlfriend's house tonight and just before i went to leave her cousin left. Well she managed to take her big 1960's Ford Truck and reverse it into my fiberglass front bumper! I feel bad to let them pay for it even though they offered. So tomorrow I am going to have to take it off and fix all of it. I will probably half to rework most of the passenger side because it is cracked and smashed flat. Poo I Say :banghead: !!!

jeez man thats nuts. Girls ALWAYS do that sh*t man. They either take your car and bang it somewhere, or bang something INTO it, lol..

Get a polyurethane one, I've heard those things are as bouncy as stock.

LOL... anyone watched the news yesterday?... some woman backed up her car into somebody's roof. according to her, she hit gas instead of brake. LOL.. a friend of mine totaled her beatle and two days later we went out to dinner, she asked if she could drive my car on the way back. i was like "NO fucking way!!" crazy bitch!

how bad is it. got any pics? i recently cracked my fiber glass back bumper and had to get it bondoed and repainted. costed me 400 bucks.

Yikes. lol. last week at my friends house his mom hit both his girlsfriends 03' Eclipse and one of our friends saturns while backing out of the driveway. Both were on different days but parked in the same place.

Last summer i let my girl drive my eclipse all the time....thank god she never hit anything

My wife is not allowed to drive the DSM... OR the 1 ton dually turbo diesel. If she drove the car shed wreck it. If you drove the truck, the whole parking lot at my complex would get its shit ruined.

I have let women drive my car though... The ex was pretty good, and her own car was a handfull with 340 fwhp...

so guess what, she did get to drive it eventually. she the first ever. i was drunk and she wouldn't let me drive no matter what. she said that totally made her day. i said she'd better enjoy it cause it won't happen again.

It isn't really that badly damaged but here are some pics of it

The mounting on the side is shattered and it is cracked in a few areas. The front nose got smashed and i have taken a hammer to it to get it back into place but it cracked. So right now I am going around like this...

huh a brand new bumper for less then $500? I had mine replaced through insurance recently and it ran around $1100..

RiceRocket18

depends on what kind of bumper material you're replacing. fiber glass is the lightest and cheapest to replace.

as for the painting job, getting a big bumper like the blitz kit bondoed + repainted (the whole bumper) will cost you about that price 400-500 bucks. maybe $350 if you know the shop. and it differs from the sizes of bumpers. that's just the price range in the NE area. maybe you can do it yourself or someone you know does it for you, but professionally speaking, that's just the market price if you're getting it done by professionals.

i let my GF drive my car when it was 90% stock. she did suprisingly well! that was the only time and now she has the GLI to play with. i have been gone to another brokerage with no internet love [like 2 comps for the whole office of like 25 reps!]. but i left my car behind to put in some break-in miles on the GLI, and have been driving it for a week now. untill today. i cannot say how happy i was to be driving my car again! i have never put any time into another stick so that it feels like my car is new. the shorty shifter is like a flick of the wrist... i could go on and on...

oh and my GF is in Spain and France for the next 2 weeks visiting family... [like Braveheart] FREEEEEEEDOMMMMMM!!!!!!
