Door Glass Plastic Guide

I have a 1988 4 door LaSabre. The front door glass has come off of where the bottom of the glass metal strip attach to the vertical metal strip. It is attached by a piece of plastic with a ball and socket joint..The plastic piece on mine is broken and the ball piece jumps out of the socket. It's about 1" long and about 1/2" in size.

Do any of you know if this a replacement item.

I think that my rear door has the same problem. I haven't opened it up yet to look at. When this is disconnected the glass can drop down and can be a pain to get it back up. As long as the glass is up and the plastic piece is up under the glass, the glass will stay up.. Just don't let the glass down about half way and jar the door because the glass will drop down..

I can send pictures if anyone needs to look at the piece.

I can't see anyone other than a dealer having an item like this, ebay may be an option, but the dealer is the best bet to me.

The Dealer has it. I replaced one on my drivers door recently. The door panel removal is the hard part.
