hey im new to this site but i thought it was pretty cool how all theese people with tibs are on here so i thought what better place to ask...
would you guys recommend a super or turbo charger, i know the differences between them i just want to know your preferences. also are their certain ones that are and arent compatiable with my 2001 tib? and one more thing.... what are the rough prices for each, if you have a canadian dollar figure it would be best but i'll take american figures too as i dont know alot about these things.
oh and if u guys are curious i have a bunch of pictures of my car on this other site, the mods arent done yet but you can still look if you want

Some pics would be nice. It's really up to you whether you want to go turbo or super. I do know that if you want "instant" throttle repsonse, a super is a bit better <yawn> but i'm tired so I'll help you later when I'm awake :D

i would go with a turbo, but its all about how much power you want. our engines just arent very supercharger friendly. there are tiburons in korea turbocharged above 600whp, but be sure you know they have spent TONS of money.
alpine developments has a turbocharger and supercharger kit available from the shop at www.hyundaiperformance.com.
you could also build your own turbo kit, the 2g DSM manifolds are a very close fit, but i think you will loose power steering or A/C(maybe even both).
check out the site under my posts, www.hyundaiaftermarket.com, and www.hyundaiperformance.com and search through discussions on there. the info is definately out there, you just have to do a bit of research.
for example, many people dont like the alpine turbo kit because it uses a unichip to tune(have to find a authorized dealer to get it tuned) and also because it uses a 5th injector setup to get extra fuel to the engine. the turbo is kinda small too, and it will be hard to get it past 240whp.
how much did it cost to get that fake veilside kit to fit?

possible free body kit for you:wink:
yeah register there.
just make sure you use the edit button to add something else you have to say to your first post(some of them are sticklers on that rule there). it just helps to keep everything organized and easy to read. dont be shy and post some pics of your car too.
to post pics, you have to write {img}{/img}
except replace the { with brackets. i had to use { to show you.
then, right click on one of your pictures, and copy the url of it. after that,squeeze it inbetween the two brackets that will be in the middle of the two img "tags"
