Major electrical issues?????

Replaced what was apparently a blown alternator on my Jetta with 55k miles! Signs symptoms were loss of power air and instrument panel flicking etc! Also would not turn back over once cut off! new alternator Bosch from pep Boys apparently has killed another battery in which I also replaced! Keeps draining batteries VW dealership service will NOT ADMIT or not know what the problem is?? They recommended not buying THEIR OWN battery as well as alternator couldn t guarantee that would work! Only 3.1 AMPS from alternator and should be carrying between 10-15 during idle! Stayed in ther vw dealer for two weeks and NOTHING. Paid 180 for a throttle or something to be installed. Any body recognize these? Desperate for help and to save money !! Apparently a ground or short somewhere where they could n t fin do not know etc... feel free to PM me as well! Front end was wrecked about two three years ago service VW says ??? is irrelevant!?!?!?! 3600.oo in damage to it hmmmmm????
