Alternator

I had a problem with my alternator this morning, or at least that is what I think. While I was driving my "battery" light came on and I began to lose power. my anti-lock brake light came on, my trac-off, then my gauges didn't read, my run signal did not work and my lights were dim. When I came out of my stop, while I was on the job, my car would not start, is this my problem and what would it cost to fix.

I figured it out, and it was the easiest alternator to replace. All is well in my world now.

Good thing that you figured it out. When I had my Malibu, I paid the stealership $450 I think to replace mine....but I was a dumb 16 year old then.

The 3400 is definatly one of the easiest motors I've ever worked on. The water pump is easily accessable. The alternator is right on top of the car. The power steering pump isn't buried under anything.
