01 Caravan Rear wiper and washer pump problem

I have a 2001 Caravan. The rear wiper and washer pump stopped working at the same time. I checked the harness and connector attached to the wiper motor and it has power. Anyone know what the problem may be?

If there's power going to the motor, then this sounds like you have a poor ground. The motor is usually grounded thru its mounting bolts. To test if this is the problem, use a lenght of wire as a jumper wire. Turn on the wiper switch and touch the outer casing of the motor to a GOOD ground on the frame. If the wipers work, merely secure the wire as a ground strap in some way to the motor.

Go under the hood and pull the IOD fuse for a couple minutes and then reinsert, this resets the bcm and has fixed this problem in the past.

Thank You!! I have a 2001 Town & Country minivan that the rear wiper and washer stopped working at the same time. I pulled the IOD 15A Fuse for a few minutes, popped it back in and Viola! Saved me a visit to the dealer.

Saved me a visit to the dealer.I wonder if that trick will work on a '96 GC/LE with a different problem. My rear window washer decided to pump all the fluid out of the tank and keep on running. I had to disconnect it to get it to stop.
