at low speeds usually at an intersection the car just quits., no warning no hesitation or any thing. it usually quits when its warm. sometimes several times in a row. when im turning ar accelerating from a light behind someone. ill let off on the gas a little and it just dies. i had a diagnostic check and nithing showed up. they changed the plugs filters and lubed the throttle cable. this worked for a while but now it stops on me ten times a day. dangerous and scary ..hellp if anyone can thanks eve

I am having the same problem. It started out just when making turns, now it is 6-8 times a day. When going straight, turning, not being able to go fast enough. Anybody got any ideas?

The fuel pump or the distributor would most likely cause your stalling problem.

My 95 has just started with the same problem...I changed the Plugs and wires...Still have the same problem....I also threw in the gas tank some heet to remove any moisture in the gas...I think I will change the dist cap and rotor next...If all else fails the fuel pump is the last resort..I'll keep posted..like I always do....
Eve, does the check engine light ever come on just before this happpens? and does the car just start up again?

I have the same problem. Mine stalls when I release the gas pedal at traffic lights , corners, or slow down. It stalls without warning. Otherwise on highway it runs fine. Changed fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor dist.cap, air flow sensor, but no change. Can any onr help please? Thanks.

Clean out any carbon build-up in throttle body also disconnect vacuum hose from fuel regulator and make sure there's no fuel in hose.Check fuel pressure with a guage at idle.If still stalling the distributor or idle air control valve may be the problem. One more thing;check your idle rpm's-should be 750 to 850.

I have the same problem with a 93 villager, stalling after running for about ten minutes
everything I've tried failed
but a mechanic just told me it was the alternator
doesn't sound like it to me because it always restarts and the battery is charging
but he insists
any thoughts anyone?

when you say "I've tried everything", what is EVERYTHING?
Anyways, have you noticed that the van takes a bit longer to start in the am over last few weeks or months? if so, here's your problem: The Fuel Pump....Please don't ask how I know..I really don't want to relive those 2 months of figuring it out......anyways, turning corners, or at a stop and pulling away makes the van just cut off (BTW, no it's not the alternator)...the pump's check valve fails therefore you lose fuel pressure and hence fuel to the lines (acts like vapor lock)........if you do look for a new pump, let me WARN you that buying just a "cheapie" replacement pump (same stock # or not) will NOT do it; I would replace with a dealer part---the complete pump and fuel sending unit--I know, it'll hurt the pocketbook but try to find on ebay....(again don't ask me how I know :banghead: )----
the replacement pumps actually pump out more fuel but once are prone to REAL vapor lock when they heat up once the tank's gas falls to about 1/4 tank (gas cools the pump---makes sense?)...again don't ask?:loser:

Good luck
