Fan Delete?

I often see BMW drivers listing a Fan Delete as one of tehir mods. What exactly is a fan delete, what does it do, how long does it take, and how do I do it? Oh, and most importantly, is it even aplicable for the E46 325i?

Hey man.. A fan delete would be just that.. Removing a fan... In this case or the case of a Strait-6 BMW it would be referring to the clutch fan.. I hear you can gain some horsepower by doing this because of less drag on the engine.. I couldn't tell you how much more horses but my friend did it on his 325E and it seemed like it had more go.. But you'd have to either 1)wire up your A/C Aux fan with a temp sensor to turn on when the eng. gets hotter, or 2) wire up a secondary fan on the Radiator with a temp sensor..
