I was cleaning my car and i was like what the fuck are these things. 95 GS
Sorry for fuzzy pics my cam was being really gay.
This one is some withe hanging down under my dash. It looks to have some sort of end that can be screwed into somthing.

This is just a pic of under my car that is soaked in brake fluid. It is leaking everywhere and I tend to grind gears more. But the levels of the fluids dont seem to be going down.

This one is in my center concel. It looks like some sort of computer. It is that box towards the bottom.

Now this thing is kinda weird. It is ziptied to the shaft that is connected to my steering wheel.

One more thing when i start my car up it sqeaks like a loose belt then stops. The every few mins it does it again. I also hear a grinding noise when I am ideling there. When I press the clutch in it stops. Also when i am driving or I rev it up i hear a mettalic sound from my engine. My timing?

well the first one is just connectors to keep the wires from where it is,sorry bout the fluid, thats the ecu the main car computer, and that might be your tranny goin

I was under the impression that the ecu was the computer under the hood.

the tranny computer is in the consol (thats what jake said it was anyways)...and there is another one under the hood

that is correct... all N/A eclipses have the ECU under the hood!!! the computer you have under the arm rest is the tranny computer (thats on every eclipse) the turbo cars have the ECU under the cd/tape player...
now for the wire that is attached to the thing you can screw into somthing... that looks like either your clutch sensor or your break sensor... can you start your car without your clutch in? (to check take it out of gear and try to start your car without your foot on the break) and does your car remain in cruise with the clutch in? (to check it go out on the highway and set your cruise... then push the clutch in and see if the cruise shuts off!) and if its for your brakes, push the pedal and see if you have brake lights... easy as that... those are the only three things i can think of!
as for the fluid... check all the connections and see if any are loose or dripping!
as for the grinding... sounds to me like you need a new clutch!

doesnt the clutch use brake fluid. if it does then the leak could be why he grinds gears.

that squeaky belt sound is defntly your belt, check both of them and make sure they r tight if not do so, if it still squeaks CHANGE IT OR THE SAME THING THAT HAPPEND TO ME WILL HAPPEND TO YOU, and its no fun. my belt was doing the same thing and i was being lazy and didnt feel like changing it. well one day it was raining and the belt was load and next thing i know it pops and i lose power sterring and alternator and water pump.

Auctly Its the computer for the air bags, DO NOT BANG ANY THING ON THAT COMPUTER The air bags will deploy if you hit it hard enough.

Could the grinding sound be slave? Also how hard and how much would it be to put in a new clutch and slave. For the clutch I am planing on going turbo some time and dont want to put another one latter if i dont have to.

He's Right that computer under the center console is for airbags its not tranny or ECU, the haynes book says it and it even says something about srs on it too.

I figured out that last one. It is a crossover. I was stripping my car for a total rewire job, and I pulled my door panels and I was like humm those dont look stock pulled out the speakers and they were eclipse's.
So that grinding sound is probly my clutch going out?
How are are they to replace?

i just replaced my belt the a while back and it still squeaks but thats because my water reservoir fell over and the belt rubbed a huge hole in it and now there is coolant all over the pulleys and thats what is making the squeaking so now today i got to take all of them off and clean them up.

Yea The Belts May Need To Be Changed, But If Not Buy Some Anti-belt Squeaker And Spray It On Your Belts It Should Get Rid Of The Noise For A Good Amount Of Time
