I have a 1984 Accord 1.8L with manual 5 speed, 240,000 miles, smoothest shifting thing I have ever owned. Not sure if its the synthetic oil I use for my transmission gear lube, but I love how smooth and dependable my tranny has been.

I have 98 LX 5 sp. coupe. Wish new 6 sp. but wasn't available that time.
I prefer drive the car, not when something driving me nuts like auto, even very good auto... :sunglasse
Auto is like old elevator in the building. Before go up to your floor can go down, wait a minute for nothing, close the door, stop, go, stop againe and finaly you are in home. And you can do nothing.
Manual is like elevator with service key.
But anyway that is all a matter of taste. :smokin:

i just got a 92 ex sedan manual, used to have a 93 lx auto but it got stripped and i'm left with my new one...oh well...this one's got a lot stronger motor and tranny.. but then driving the 93 lx 600 miles in less than 4 hours couldn't help it any either....

94 cord stick all the way. the auto are all right, but stick is soo much better, plus the clutch does not cost nearly as much as a tranny.

i have a 97 accord ex 64k miles for 4k$$
anyways both are good but the only thing that is good with the stick is you can redline it but the auto they just keep on shifting. and i hate the auto trans that have a muffler i just hate the sound its so annoying

Well, both have advantages....
I love my 5-spd, very fun to drive...
Now, an auto can come in handy when a girl is in the car :naughty:

01 Auto sedan. I don't know if there is a shortage of sticks for this year, because at the dealer all they had was auto's. It's alright I can make it rev all they way up to 7k in second and third, but first, and fourth sucks.

Yeah, I know the EX 4cyl came with VTEC and was available in a 5speed. But No.1_Stunna stated he has a 5 speed but wishes he had VTEC, which means he has either a DX or an LX. I thought they only came in autos

5spd was available on all trim levels. You just don't get the benefit of VTEC with the LX and DX. I had an LX 5 spd, no VTEC  Those 94 can move though, fun car to drive :naughty:
V-SPEC, I cant really give any exact costs on switching auto to manny. It depends on what car etc, but expect to spend a couple grand total. Most times, the cost and effort involved in converting auto to manny isnt worth it. Coulda used time/money on something alot more worthwhile. :2cents:
