Hey guys... I'm having a problem with my seat adjuster. I was driving home the other day (after my girlfriend drove it) and had adjusted the seat almost all the way back. As i was sliding the seat back, it made a noise and then the seat wouldn't lock.
Well, i drove home, took the seat out, and found that inside the right hand rail (sitting on the seat) there's a white plastic piece that had broken into about 5 pieces. i got the seat to lock, but when i use the entry handle, the seat no longer locks into position. i figure that the white plastic piece is the relese for the seat to slide forward to get into the back seat.
Anyone know the cheapest/easiest way to fix/replace this? on the rails, there's a tag that's labeled like this:
Rockwell

Anyone know where to get this kind of part? Thanks in advance!!!

Same thing happened to my 99 silverado (3 door). I had to buy the right side frame rail from the dealer to fix it. This happened a couple of years ago and I don't remember the cost. I don't think there is any other way to fix it. It was pretty easy to switch out. Haven't had a problem since, but I am careful when using the eazy entry lever.

I had the same thing happen on my 99. My seat jammed all the way forward and wouldn't budge. I saw the white plastic thing all broken up inside the track. After taking the seat out, I used lots of WD-40 and a big hammer and it finally unjammed and worked ok.
