B16B Compression

I tested mine and got 165-170psi across all four. How does that equate to a x.x:1 ratio? These numbers seem kind of low for an engine that is supposed to have 10.8:1 compression..

those numbers are low for a B16B, a friend of mine has a B16B and he got 195-200 psi on the cylinders, I have a B16A 1st gen engine and its 175psi on each cylinder.

Those numbers mean utterly nothing. Honestly. Elevation, weather, how long you let the motor crank, etc, can all have a massive impact on how much pressure you see. As long as the numbers are within about 5% of each other you don't have anything to worry about. I've seen a perfectly healthy ITR with less than 2% leakdown in every cylinder push in the 180's, but that doesn't mean it's unhealthy just because some cars will do 200.
