I'm trying to program the keyless entry system on my 2003 4-Runner. Can anyone help, I'm trying to change the unlock to unlock all doors with just one push of the button, not two. Thanks for any help, I don't want to pay the dealer $65. to do this for me.

Check your owners manual it's in there. Also the instructions for locking/unlocking doors with the gear shift is in there. Let me know if you don't have it. If an 04 is the same as an 03 I can give you the instructions

The owners manual doesn't give any instructions other than "Contact the Dealer". I did find the instructions for changing the locking/unlocking with the gear shift but nothing about the unlocking all doors with one click of the keyless fob. Please e-mail the info to [email protected]. Thank you.

Go to the dealer around closing and find a mechanic who is sweeping or cleaning up. The instructions are in the repair manual for your vehicle. Just ask him if he would be so kind as to look them up for you. I have had good luck with this approach. (Bring paper and pencil - the instructions are long)

For 2003 4Runner:
Start with key out of ignition
Open and unlock driver's door
Insert key into ignition and remove it without turning it
Part 1
Cycle the power door lock on the driver's door 5 times
Close then open the driver's door
Cycle the power door lock on the driver's door 5 times
Insert the key into the ignition and turn the ignition to on (not start) then off twice
Remove the key from the ignition
Within 3 seconds, the locks should cycle. If not, start again.

Part 2
Press both the lock and unlock keys on the remote simultaneously for 1 second.
Immediately after that, press the lock button and hold for 2 seconds.
The locks should again cycle once. If they don't cycle or cycle twice, the remote has not been accepted.
Close the driver door.

Both portions of the programing should be done each within 40 seconds. The second half should be done for each remote including old remotes.

Hopefully, someone will post the instructions instead of an advertisement for an ebay auction that does not really address the questions posed.

[QUOTE=spotco2]Go back and look at all of my post on these forums. I have posted nearly 100 of these procedures over the past 6 months for free! Look over at the Chevrolet forum :) I have procedures to every factory system sold in the US for the past 15 years! A collection like this definately did not come free to me. The auctions are only $5. I guess you don't have to buy them, but it depends on how bad you want them.

Please don't forget to check out my eBay store for great deals on OEM transponder car key's as well :)

Shut up. Seriously. I just went over your posting history and the majority of the posts you have, contain ebay links to your personal sales items. Goodbye. You are banned.
