coolant temparature sensor

does anybody know how to install a coolant tem sensor.....am i going to get splash all over me when i unscrew it off....................thanks

what sensor you want to replace, engine coolant temperature sensor or coolant temperature gauge sending unit?
both of them located on thermostat housing, right behind EGR valve.
and if engine is cold, nothing should spay at you. it might leak out, but won't spray.
