Theres a guy down the road from me selling a MX-3 (far as it looks, its all stock) for something around $2,400. Not sure of what year it is as i just seen it by driving by but I was just wondering if this is an avg. price for a MX-3?

you need to be a little more specific. Is it the V6 or the I4? what year is it? how many kilos/miles? without that info, you're not gonna get the answer you're looking for... it could range from 1000$ to 6000$

Well i found out the price i thought he wanted was for another car and he wanted over $5500 for the MX-3 (had body kit, new paint and afew other things done to it)
I did find these 2 though, Does that sound like the avg for them?, and what do you think would be the better deal?
95 would be better in my mind but then on the other hand it is also $1200 more with the same amount of K's on it.
'95 Mazda MX-3 GS PRECIDIA. 6 cyl, 5 spd, Cd, air. 191,000 k. Original paint. Only $3,995.
'93 MAZDA MX3 PRECIDIA 2 Dr, 4 cyl. Lady driven. 190,000 kms. $2,700
Also found this one but they dont got any real info about the car so its hard to tell,
'94 Mazda MX-3 PRECIDIA 5 speed, $2,495
(and the cost is in canadian dollars for them)

i would not suggest the 93 for the main reason that the 4 cyl engines are not that durable (In comparison to the K8 that is in the V6). I would go with the V6 '95 for a few reasons: faster and more fun than a 4 cyl which is pretty slow, more reliable and durable in the long run, the original paint is usually a good sign (means the body at least was taken well care of). But when you go to buy it, offer like 3000-3500$ and hey shoudl jump the price down. Ask about the brakes and CV axels because they are the two most common weak-spots on an MX3. Hope this helps :D

I payed $2400 USD for my 92 GS, it was time to repace belts so that cost me another 600 USD and I just had to replace my Catback Exhaust system with a AM one which cost another 300 USD... but I do recomend getting AM when somethin stock breaks down... it's usually better than stock anyways and sometimes cheeper~!

also the paint was almost perfect... minor dints and scrapes.. and front lip busted but drilled a small hole and inserted a small skrew.. it fixed that.. and it only had 2 tears in the interior and only 93K miles... also it was a 5spd

Well i FINALLY found another car in my price range.....does this sound like a good deal?
Price: $2,595.00
Odometer: 225000 Km. - Cylinder : 6 - Transmission : Standard
I know got high KM on it but it would only have this engine long enough till i can save up the $ for a KL-ZE, so long as it would last for 3-5 months
Its also from a used car dealer and not a private sale if that means anything.
EDIT: Forgot to mention its a MAZDA MX-3 PRECIDIA 1992

looks like a deal to me. The only that could be a problem is rust. I know that in quebec alot of the cars are sold very very cheap because for some reason cars rust fast there. Perhaps the more salt on the roads, or something else i'm not sure...rust is bad because is hard to fix, so if there is no rust it looks good to me tho, probably cheap because of high KM not the rust. Good luck!

Just was wondering about how it does got high KM on it....how long do these engines usually last for?
like would u say it would be nearin the end of its life with the 225,000Km on it or think it could last for awhile still?

oh sure. That engine is fairly well built, and i've heard of some engines going over 300k killometers mark are still running...i guesse it depends on how many things that have been/will be replaced on the engine. I'm sure that it will last you about 6months to a year or two.

Don't worry about mileage on it. I have a 93 GS and it has 260,000 miles on it...I don't know how many km that is, but I'm guessing it's alot. Any ways, It still runs like it's brand new! I'd say just run it until it blows, then swap in the KLZE

I found this ad today and was gunna look into it....
93 mazda mx3 percidia white 2dr 5spd v6 218,000km runs excellent new exhaust, new breaks, new air intake, many many other new parts with receipts. $4600 obo
I was thinkin about offering $4000 for this car aslong as the body and rest of the car is in good shape....does that sound like a fair deal?
i talked to the guy and he said it has alittle bit of surface rust on it, but other then it runs great.
Think it sounds like a good deal?...or should i stay away from it due to surface rust?
might go look at it anyways just to see how bad it is

just get the rust sanded out...as far as the price, that's a reasonable price. That engine will last alot longer and you'll definitely get your moneys worth out of it's life.
