S4 Motor In A A4....

I heard that an S4 turbo motor in a A4 was pushing a lot of power.... Is that true??? 'coz if it's the case, I'll think about doing the swap.... Thx a lot guys :biggrin:

well....yeah, duh..the s4 motor pushes alot of power... but if you want an s4 motor.... buy a damn s4... its the same damn car so its really not worth the huge effort that that swap is.

Its not worth putting in. LIke marked001 said, just buy a S4 ifyou want the motor. You can't just "put in" an S4 motor because of a few things. I don't think the mounting points are the same, for one thing, and the other, is that you would have to get an S4 tranny. A4(comes in 5spd) and S4(comes in 6spd). Not to mention getting an S4 exhaust. Don't forget if the A4 is a front track you are going to have an even bigger prob. After you do swap the motors you are going to slab yourself and realize that it would have been cheaper to just buy an S4 and put an A4 body on it.

my friend also said that the s4 motors start to fall apart around 80000 miles (he works at a dealership)
