I have a 1981 caprice classic station wagon. i recently pulled the engine and was planing on rebuilding it. but then i found a 350 out of a 1994 chevy suburban. it is jus a long block that was taken out for warenty reasons. it had knocking probs. wat i need to know is if my accessorys and intake manifold will fit on the 350. my engine is a stock 305.

From what I understand (this is not Gospel), certain parts of Chevy small blocks are interchangible. So, if it is a small block 350, it SHOULD work. But, I have never preformed any work on engines; I simply build on the experience/knowledge (hopefully) acquired by others.

chevy motors post 86 have different valve covers, rear seals and intake manifold bolt setups than pre86
so to make this work you need a 2 or 4bbl intake for the later motor (edlebrock or GM sells), retain the centerbolt valve covers, and keep the flexplate from the 94 motor also as the 81 wont fit. other than that, nobody will ever know what is going on
