Dodge SRT-4 vs the Imports

After years of being dissed by the slammed asia tuner market, looks like the big 3 is responding to this new industry. The first stab at the honda's and acura's comes from the new Dodge Neon SRT-4. I personally think this car kicks serious ass, and can challenge any import at the light. Also consider it's the faster car under 20,000 (0-60 in 5.9 s).
It's a sport car right off the lot, you don't even have to mod it to make it go faster. Besides, you'll have a ton of money left over to make it faster anyways, cuz it's so inexpensive. And Mopar and Chrysler PVO will be releasing performance upgrade kits every once in awhile for the car. The word is the 1st upgrade will cost somewhere around 4-5000 dollars and can take the 2.4 L turbo engine up to about 300 HP at the crank.
WRX? Civic Si? RSX? 3000 GT? Celica GT? What the hell are those? If you like building drag cars, than be a true American (if you are) and buy an SRT-4 before dumping the same amount or more money on an import that may not be as fast.

Hmmm, I like this new guy. That new Neon SRT-4 is going to kick some ass. I have been waiting for Mopar to put tubos back in the four bangers.

The 3000GT doesn't belong in the list with those econo boxes either for perfomance or ride quality. However, its still a Neon. That means a feel while driving (like a Civic, Celica etc.). No thanks (same to the civic, RSX.... )

but i agree with yogs, i wouldnt feel right in a neon, but on the flip side.....that spells nothin but sleeper! ;)
but the 3kgt doesnt need to be on the list of import compacts
