always go for the integra... everybody and their dog has a civic. and they are nothing to really speak of. sure some people have some nice ones... but its still a civic... i think the SI has 160.. and a teg LS has 140 i think...
my friend's '96 Integra LS with i/h/e would walk all over my '93 Prelude SI with the same i/h/e at a 20 hp defecit.
i bought my integra one month ago and have never looked back.. i love it

2001 was the new "wagon" looking style hatchback. The wagon reference is from a friend who just bought a '01 hatch; not from me.
but the comment about SOME respect for civics; civics are ment to be reliable transportation, they're not ment to be sports cars...that's what motor swaps and turbos are for.

if i were on a budget i'd get the civic, cheaper parts and lower insurance. civics are popular for a reason, they're a good value.
but i prefer the look of the integra, it's a bit more luxurious and better handling, but parts cost more and to insure.

integras have more luxury than most civics..civics are broke man sports cars but integras are official ones they look sportier and drive better(stock)..but if u want to hear the other side post this in the honda forum...youll hear the exact opposite lol

Well, there's upsides to each. If you want ultimate performance and screw what anyone else thinks, go with the civic. You can swap any number of engines in them, they're light, and the aftermarket is the size of the continent of Asia.
If you want performance straight from the factory, chicks, and more space, go with the teg. It'll be faster and handle better (stock, at least), not everyone has one, and they're soooo much cooler looking... :D

so... lets state the obvious... if you're poor... buy a civic and spend thousands getting it to the point of comparing with Integras. or buy the integra in the first place. have some respect for yourself, and not have the same car as every other punk out there. im not sure about where you guys live. but out in utah civics are everywhere. and nobody puts any real money into them. all they have is a intake and exhaust. if they're rich they have rims and an unpainted body kit.
i doubt i'll ever spend the money on a body kit period. but a lowered integra with 17's exites me
wow... i kinda rambled there for a minute

and as far as budget's go. im only paying 190 a month for my integra. that's not too bad. heck i had a prelude i was only paying 145 for.
i shouldve gone for the integra first

Power wise, integra is your best bet, even if it is an ls, rs, or gs. If i was you I would look into finding a gsr. and 2002 is when it changed to a hatch back int the civic si. 99-01 was a coupe. and before that, well I don't know, but I think it changes from a hatch to a coup and back frequently in its past. And as far as looks go. personally I perfer the integra over any of the others. THough the 99-01 si's are really good looking to (best looking civic ever built) especially in that sonic blue. anyways I say get an integra. Remember they are ment to be an upgraded, more luxerous version of the civic.

i dont know bout utah but i live in so cal and tegs are a dime a dozen.type r are the ones i dont really see that much as in 2-3 a week.civics have potential.my rex will take integras in the curvs.i love integras but dont under estamate a civic.yes they are everywhere, but dont forget that the integra is another honda.your comparing a higher priced teg to a civ but you can catch teg pretty easy.civics have light wait and the tegs have stock b18's in them wich is a plus for performance.all im saying is just because the cars in but fag utah are ricers dont mean that all civics are like that.and ek cx that wwill run you 4500 with a 3000 dollar motor and a ok suspention will take a gsr and look good at the same time.the guy that started this thread knows that this is the teg forum so what did you think was goin to happen.point is i want and integra gsr so bad,but i will allways love my rex (civic).
