96 ohv 3.0 replacement

We need to replace our 3.0 ohv engine in our 96 Taurus GL. We were told the 95 3.0 that we got would work... after getting it home, the 95 has a distributor and ours don't, it has a coil pack. Can we still use the 95 engine and if so what would we need to change to make it work? Thanks

you need to strip all the accessories off the 96 engine and put them on your 95 one. Then it should work. Should be able to leave things like the Water Pump and PS pump though, since those were pretty much the same.
