the brake lights in my crx stay on for no reason at all. that is, the rear brake likghts including the third brake light stay on even if the key is out of the ignition. right now i have the battery disconnected so it wont kill the battery. what can i be?

i toyed with the switch and wiring under the dash and i really dont know what to do. one other thing that passed my mind is that it could be some water connecting something, because my the washer nozzle and rear hatch wiper are removed and there are only holes there, and it rained as i came home.... so i dont know if that could be the reason.

also, where is the fuse for these brake lights? i tried removing the ones under the dash for the rear lights but that doesnt do anything. thanks for your time.

Brake lights and horn are on the same fuse, its under the hood. I'd say the switch (not sure if its on the pedel or a pressure switch on the brake line, maby someone else can answer that) is going out and stuck in the on posistion. I really dont think water would have anything to do it with because that would cause the fuse to blow and I dont think that hole leads to anywhere that it would effect the lights anyway.

just in case anyone else comes across this problem i will explain how i fixed the problem. as you can see in the diagram, there is a stupid little pad resting in a round hole in the piece of metal that the stoplight switch connects to. i realized that a blue piece of plastic that was cracked in half that i found on my floor while cleaning was meant to be there. i dont like going out and findind shit like this, so i used a bolt and nut that fit right in there, and it works fine now after i adjusted it. that was the problem. thanks for your help.
