Underdrive Pulley?

Has anyone ever installed an underdrive pulley in thier GST or GSX. If so is it a good mod and how much power would you get. I know it gave the Breeze some hp when we put it on but would it give the same hp on a turbo motor

considering that putting a lighweight flywheel and removing the balance shaft made a "tinny" minimal difference, slightly noticeble , i would say that the lightweight pulley is not going to be that big of a mod, besides there is ppl in this forum running low 12's on stock ones.
btw it would be nise if some1 with installed underdrive pulley say how it feels. i would go for the hole set up- cam gears, power str, alternator pulleys

Actually poeple run like 8s on the stock pulley. Most poeple dont switch to a non-damped crank pulley, its been shown to cause crankwalk on some cars. With the way our motors like to do it, I cant see taking that risk for 1.873 HP gain...

Sorry. I dont have actual experience with an underdrive crank pulley, so the numbers may not be exact :D

you know... its cheaper to buy a APC or NAWWWWWWWWWWWSSSSSS sticker and add 10 hp... it reduces crankwalk and improves performance... also you can try the TORNADO.. which is a fan blade taht goes in your intake improving gas mileage and hp! :naughty: just my :2cents:

There are manufactueres that make dampener underdrive pulleys.

I only know of one, and it was like 400 bucks. I think bushur used to offer it back in the day.
