weird problem

ok this might be kind of hard to explain where it could be understood but i am randomly gettin a check engine light on when slowing to a stop then it feels like my throtle is kinda stuck...my rpms instead of dropping to .5 will stay at 1 or 1.5 and i have to apply a hard brake to get my car to stand still then as soon as i let off the brake my car will start to take off not fast but almost as if i was barley, barley pushing the gas....as i said it only happens randomly but now more often and as soon as i take off and drive a second my light goes off???? what the hell could the problem be?? have any of u ever had this happen...any suggestions hopefully...thankx in advance u all always seem to be the biggest help!!

yeah, my buddy had that problem back in h.s. on his 91 r.s. or z. I forgot what it was but it cost him 450 to fix, and like you said he kept getting worse just like his, and eventually he was idling down the street at 25 mph, haha

could be a sticking throttle body butterfly, get an induction service, will probly fix it. that or its a stuck open IAC vavle.
