NO Brake Lights 02 1500...

I have looked through the forum here looking to figure out what the heck is happening to my trucks brake lights...

I shorted out my lights with a trailer, blown my fuses, replaced the fuses, but then no brake lights on my 2002 Dodge 1500...

I have no brake lights period... everything else works fine, turn signals work, reverse lights work, even the third brake light works, but no tail brake lights...

I have replaced the bulbs, checked all fuses, etc...

Is there a separate relay for the rear brake lights that is different from the third brake light?

or am i missing something?

TIA

Brian

We had the same problem with a chevy at work. It was a fuse under the hood that was blown. We think it was caused by the trailer brake controller. Do you have a trailer brake controller?

Hey guys I have been going Nuts!!! With the same problem for the Last 6 Mounths and I finally Fixed it Yesterday!!!!

Check the contact points. Make sure they are lining up right with the bulbs.

Had the same thing happen on mine. It was a place on the contacts in my rear passsenger lamp that shorted. The short created a burn on the contact and I had to srape it off to get it working again.
