well i didnt have much luck finding anything in the search :s

i'm looking at increasing power on my 7mgte

with a hg that was not the best at the time, i don't know if it was leaking or not but i got 184rwkw on 14.5psi

now from what i've read on here from other ppl's 7m's thats not very good considering what i've done

mods from that dyno

14.5psi
stock intercooler plumbing with 550x300x75 intercooler
ct26 to4e turbo
3 1/2in exhaust from turbo elbow back
match ported exhaust head to manifold
filter

i think that's all

all i have changed now but didn't really have a chance to test properly due to my err head gasket lol
so yea all i've changed since is my intercooler plumbing to 2 1/2in all the way

i want to increase power but not by boltiing on a bigger hairdryer or anything
i was thinking, bigger throttle body.. 1jz inlet manifold to reroute my plumbing things like that, i wanna get as much power as possible on 6psi lol

Thanx :D

Those numbers are pretty low, thats 246hp on 14.5psi right? :( I've seen people hit 400+rwhp with a 60-1 upgrade with only a few psi more boost. Port matching the exhaust head flange is actually bad, you want the exhaust port slightly smaller than the exhaust runners to act as a reversion dam to help stop pulses and help with scavenging, it's more of a n/a thing but I still wouldnt' do it. First thing I would do is get rid of that stock elbow, a full 3.5ID" exhaust should give you some huge gains over stock. Is there anything else plugging up the exhaust? Then look into the Lex/550 upgrade with an apex-i filter, then I'd get an SAFC to tune it all. I wouldn't worry about a bigger TB, your IC pipes are only 2.5" so why get a TB bigger than that, know what I mean. A front facing intake manifold won't do much except for cleaning up the engine bay and keeping the IC pipes from going right over the hot turbo. Is the 7m running good, not throwing any codes or running weird? So what kind of HG did you get anyway? Heres a thread that might help you some by the way.

yea i thought those numbers were pretty low aye, with the head i kinda had no choice as it was already done, i bought a full recoed head which the porting had already been done (i don't think u can fill it up again lol)
k so first get rid of stock elbow, i've just been given a 4in dump pipe, that should do it ;)
the 3 1/2in exhaust has nothing in its way except for the big ass muffler at the end lol
i've got a fuel cut defender on my car + got a bigger fuel pump to install, just need injectors soon but on 14.5psi i'm still running 11:1 which allows for any mishap hehe

whats so special bout the apexi filter? i've got an hks type one right in the front bumper just in front of the headlight so that should help cold air ;)
okies SAFC what's that when its at home lol, i'm assuming fuel controller of sorts?

the point of 1jz manifold is purely to move my plumbing so it's not over the motor and getting heated up nicely :D
Well see that's the important bit hehe the car running good???
well i'm not sure but at the time my gasket may have been leaking compression, not long after that dyno i blew my head gasket due to it being standard bore size and my block 20thou over (big oops) the head gasket at the time was a custom mhg which i'm sure would have been fine had my block not been under height and smacked it to nothing lol
i'm suspecting my hg was gone or at least partially so that could be where some of my power was going, although i did do consistent mid 13's till i blew it hehe

Thanks alot for your input :)

11:1 A/F? How did you get that with no fuel controller and on the stock ECU? You should be shooting for 11.8:1-12:1 if you get an a/f controller, I guess gas must not cost much over there :) . An S-AFC is a Apex-i air/fuel controller, one of the best for the ease of tuning and price IMO, plus there are tons on www.ebaymotors.com all the time. I just mentioned the Apex-i filter because it's the best, if filters the best out of all of them (1 million times better than the HKS megacrap mushroom) and it gained the most HP out of all of them, I posted a link to the test here somewhere a while back. Can't wait to see the results once you get that open dump on, good luck with it.

yup 11:1, i guess my ecu is magic hehe, well i would shoot for 11.8 but without an fuel ecu only way i could do that is up the boost lol
ahhh safc2 i have seen on horsepower freaks for like $360 which i thought was pretty good, hehe my filter isn't even as good as the hks megacrap as it is the imitation one :p haha
i'm hopefully picking up my dump pipe this w/end so i'll get another made up the same and get my car running... ultimate word... running lol, and then get it put on and dyno it, i'm gonna dyno on factory boost which is 10.1 a/f but not really alot i can do bout it but power output should be interesting, then i'll put the dump pipe on and run it again
the other thing i was thinking of doing is custom exhaust manifold and inlet manifold, increase flow ;)
good idea you think?
