I can't decide which to get. I want something loud and deep sounding, not like an annoyingly loud lawnmower sound on all those civics. I'd like the sound of my friend's '73 Duster, but they aint happening with an engine half the size. But that may give you an idea of what I'm looking for. I've been thinking about flowmaster. I hear borla is nice, but most ppl say they like it cause its quiet. I wanna hear my car, but not get a ticket for noise. Any suggestions?

If you live in a northern climate where there are salt covered roads in the wintertime, consider a stainless steel exhaust system like Borla or the SLP Loudmouth system. Both will provide a good deep sound without the excessive cabin drone. Most GP owners seem to prefer the Borla over the others. Some have even switched to another make, only to go back to Borla. If you're not worried about snow/salt conditions, Dynomax makes an aluminized cat-back system for the GP. It's not as expensive and still sounds good. Currently, Flowmaster does not make a cat-back exhaust for the GP. If Flowmaster is what you're after, they suggest using their 50 series mufflers (check their website). The drawback to these mufflers is that they do not come with the factory style hangers like the other systems do.

For the price you cant beat the GMPP stainless steel catback and the mufflers are made by Magnaflow......~Larry~
